Oslo Multideck

Oslo – New Champion Among Multidecks

During 2021. Frigo Žika’s development-production team has developed a new line of products called Oslo. Frigo Žika’s team worked on this project since the beginning of 2020. The goal which is present since the inception of this idea is to make a highly energy-efficient multideck, compatible with CO2 and freon gases, available in different sizes, financially affordable, easy to produce, and a modern-looking multideck.

Did we succeed in this goal? Keep reading the article below to find out!

Oslo Multideck

Company Frigo Žika is in 2022 started the serial production of Oslo cabinets. And you can already find these multidecks all across markets in Serbia and Europe (Germany/France).
These devices are highly energy efficient. And the main goal since the beginning of development was to make a device with minor energy losses, which will follow the market trends and standards (both Europe and USA), and above all – an affordable device.

One of the reasons for such efficiency of these devices is the thermal insulated doors that are produced in our company Savabien (part of the Frigo Žika Group). These doors helped a lot in achieving high energy efficient results of Oslo multi decks, but this also helped us make this device affordable and within the planned price range; once we included Savabien in Frigo Žika group, and once we made quality doors for refrigeration devices, we closed our production process. This way, we have a modern and efficient device that is (almost) 100% Made in Serbia (Ruma). And we are very proud of that!

When we are talking about the energy efficiency of open Oslo multidecks (without doors), it’s worth mentioning that we have a new cooling system – a specially designed air curtain that produces minor losses. Basically, in all the testing points within the device, we can achieve constant temperature and even cooling (from 1 to 5 C).

And in the end, it’s worth mentioning that these devices are produced with a self-cleaning condensing unit. Another part that helps in the overall efficiency of the device. The self-cleaning condensing unit is our original invention which is registered in the Serbian invention registry – Zavodu za intelektualnu svojinu Republike Srbije.

Plug In and Remote Models

Same as with other devices, we have Plug in and Remote versions of this multideck.
Plug-in means that the generator is built-in within the device – this makes multideck easily adjustable to any type of grocery store, no matter the size of the store.

On the other hand, remote models are perfect for big supermarkets and hypermarkets. The generator for these devices is located outside (usually on the outside of the store), so it’s necessary to place these devices directly against the wall.

Huge Display Area

One of the main characteristics and one of the reasons why these devices are getting attention is a very low front mask and big visible-display area for product exhibit. Every grocery store wants to offer as much as possible of different products – “the more you offer, the higher chance of sales is”. So, in modern retail business, the bigger capacity (of the multideck is) the better it is for the business.

Oslo Multidecks For Different Purporses

With or without doors, negative (freezers), for fruits/vegetables, for drinks, dairy products… Oslo multidecks are created to be adjustable for different purposes and different types of grocery stores.

Oslo Multidecks can be produced as an open model (without doors) and a closed model with doors. It’s worth mentioning once again that all the doors that we use for Oslo Multidecks are produced by our company Savabien. And types of doors are:

Oslo Single Glass – It’s a model of thermal insulated doors where the visibility of products is the highest. Even the handle on these doors is fully adjusted to the overall clean look of the door, so it doesn’t negatively affect the visibility of products within the device. These doors have an automatic closing mechanism.

Oslo T Full Vision – this is a model of thermally insulated glass, where the only visible part is the handle. Doors are made of double thermal insulated glass with argon filling in between glass panels.

Oslo Sliding Doors – this is a sliding door model. This is made of thermal insulated glass with argon filling.

More about thermal insulated doors for refrigeration devices read here.

After we discussed all the closed models of Oslo Multidecks, it’s important to take a look at the open models such as Fruity (for fruits and vegetables) and Oslo Standard (the standard model of refrigerated multideck, ideal for different purposes – drinks, deli, and dairy products, etc).
Oslo’s line of products also offers the Negative model called Antarctic. This one is a freezer and it operates in temperature regimes of -18 /-22°C. It’s ideal for frozen products.
In the end, the Oslo line of products is meant to be the solution for any type of grocery store – basically, you can combine different types of Oslo Multidecks to cover all the needs of a grocery store. 3 IN 1 is a combination of Oslo devices, where we place Oslo Standard (or with doors) + Oslo Fruity and Oslo Antarctic (freezer) in one line, next to each other.

Oslo Semi Vertical

Oslo is all about variations and covering the different needs of one retail-grocery store. So, last in the line of these variations are Oslo Semi Vertical Multidecks. As the name speaks for itself, these are semi-vertical multidecks, with great characteristics which are available as a standard model (open) and as an Oslo Fruity Semi Vertical Model (for fruits and vegetables). Semi Vertical multidecks are produced as remote and plug-in models as well.
